Everything you ever wanted to know about the amazing avocado will be revealed. Taste world-class guacamole and check out the wares in hundreds of booths.Activities planned around the Avocado include--the Avocado 500, a "model" car building event and race using avocados as vehicles. The 2009 Culinary Contest is at 9 a.m. for professionals and amateurs.

Culinary Demonstrations are also scheduled all day in the Controltec parking lot at 330 S. Main. These demonstrations will include a chef from Japan as well as local chefs demonstrating their techniques.Art of the Avocado, sponsored by George and Gayle Bamber of Holy Guacamoly, is a new art competition at the festival. All interested are encouraged to submit avocado themed works of art. Applications may be completed at the time they drop off their entry at the Chamber office by Monday April 9. Winners will be presented at the April 16th Chamber SunDowner.

Avocado RacesAvocados, to be sold by the pound and by the tree, along with citrus, macadamia nuts, vegetables, herbs, seasonal flowers and plants round out shopping choices. And of course, there is no shortage of food for sale.
Other activities include an Antique Aircraft Show at Fallbrook Airpark and displays at the Fallbrook Historical Museum. In short, there is really something for everyone at this fantastic event. So, come on down, bring the family, and have some real fun!!

Health And Safety code #114316 prohibits live animals from food preparation areas. Please leave your pets at home while you enjoy your day at the festival.* Animal Sancturary of Fallbrook will provide "Park Your Puppy" service at the festival for a nominal fee.

Festival Activities Schedule and VenuesThe Festival has a number of venues which are connected by a free Shuttle service. The Main Street venue is located on Main Street, seven blocks between East Mission Road, and Beech Street. Parking is mainly on-street on the various side streets around this venue. The Shuttle pickup and drop off is located at the intersection of Beech and Main.
Fallbrook High School, located on South Mission Road at Stagecoach Lane, affords a large free parking lot for the Festival. The Shuttle pickup point is where the main flag pole at the high school is located. Fallbrook Air Park, Air Park Road off S. Mission Road offers a smaller parking lot area, with identified Shuttle point.
Fallbrook Historical Society, Rocky Crest Road off S. Mission Road offers a parking lot, on street, and grass area parking. Shuttle point is at its front entrance.
